TAKE A KID fishing

Post by Jumptrout51 »

Mark your calendars. May 19. NFGFC participates in the annual[/b]TAKE A KID fishing program in concert with Baptist Childrens Home.
The kids are lined up to go,12-15 more boats are needed.
This is a very rewarding day of fishing. MILES OF SMILES on every boat.
You can sign up Thursday night April 19 at the NFGFC monthly meeting at Beef O'Bradys Thomasville rd. 7 p.m.
Each boat captain should have a 1st mate to assist.
Each boat will have a kid or 2 or 3 and possibly a chaperone.
You should also have fishing equipment suitable for a child(Zebcos and small spinning outfits).
NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE ALLOWED ON YOUR BOAT.
Please have a good supply of fresh drinking water and sunscreen available.

I think it is usually out of the Fort.

Usually St. Marks Fort ramp and return there for pix and cookout and all the kids running from boat to boat and bragging about who caught what and whose is the biggest and who got the most and the big one that got away,etc.etc.etc.
It's also great if you have kids or grandkids and bring them on that day too. Then these kids you are hosting have an opportunity to see what a real family looks like.

I could take some out kayak fishing. I might be able to get some more people to join us and we could put them on some Trout or Redfish at Wakulla Beach or Bottoms Road. Let me know if its something ya'll might want to do.

The original information I received gave the following:
Fishing out of St. Marks at Fort San Marco. Blast off at 7:30 and lunch beginning at 1:00
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".

I think the one out of mashes is the FWC's "Kids Fishing Clinic". But I believe they may both be on the same day.
