We were there the week before you'all, great place, we go a couple of times a year, never changes. Had a good time with the trout and reds. One question for you. Do oyu know of the shark hole everyone talks of in the area. I have two boys who want a shark. Great report
We stay here http://www.parkplaceincedarkey.com/ My family owns one of the condos, nice place right across from the city beach and within walking distance from everything. Nothing great, just a nice room. The top floors are nicer though.

Thanks for the nice comments. We thoroughly enjoyed out week in Cedar Key.
e-lineman: The sharkhole is a good spot to catch sharks but then again in our area you can catch them just about anywhere if you use chum. This spot is in 16 feet surrounded by flats of 2-5 feet. They can be quite a problem. Here’s the lat/long for the Shark Hole: N29 09.480 W83 06.255 . Have fun.
Hit n miss: In Cedar Key we stayed at the Old Fenimore Mill condominiums: http://www.fenimoremill.com/ My family & I have really enjoyed staying there. I’m not sure of the rates but I believe they are $160/night for a 2 bedroom and $130 for a one bedroom condo. They all have great views. Those pictures of the birds were taken off our patio.
