For Sale Johnson 90 hp took off my 2380 CS Went to a 120 I carry alot of people it just pushes better old motor ran fine, it has no controls.

No reasonable offer will be refused may consider a trade interested in a aluminum boat for ponds and creeks. May add cash for right boat.

Also 2004 Dodge Quad cab 2500 slt w/ Cummings turbo diesle can include a 5th wheel hitch one owner good condition 90k Highway miles towed fifth wheel twice other than that just the skiff about 10 times per year.

HEY HOWARD, I CHECKED OUT THE 90 AND IT HAS TOO MANY THINGS WRONG ON IT, WOULD NOT BE INTERESTED AT ALL. I AM GLAD I HAD THE 115 TO LOOK AT OR I WOULD HAVE BEEN MAD WITH YOU. GOT THE 115 WITH CONTROLS FOR $900 AND IT IS 15 YEARS NEWER THAN THE ONE YOU HAVE.
GOOD LUCK ON GETTING RID OF THE ONE YOU HAVE.
SORRY

Yeah... good luck with that. :hammer:
Original post intact above:

Clarification:
Pa ripped him a new one, publicly. I don't think he'll be able to sell it after that... in spite of the fact that he specified no controls, no reasonable offer refused.

I am glad you got a good deal and are happy

I don't know why you would be mad at me an offer was made to sell the motor it has had the top and bottom gasket replaced it ran fine and pushed my boat ok.

It was replaced because I was offered what I thought was a good deal on a newer, larger motor. A 95 120 Johnson for $2000.00 I guess by your standard a 1995, 115 for 900.00 I got ripped off really bad but I don't feel that way at all. I actually got it below book and have enjoyed the added power after I put on the trolling motor and put two batteries up front I needed a little more juice.

I bought it used as is where is if it ran 1 day 1 hour or till Jesus comes back it was a used motor and it was mine.

The trim quit working today, a year after I got it I guess I should feel like that was the previous owners fault too.

I am not a mechanic like you and don't claim to be one either. and you wanted to inspect it I said sure. I took it off running it is for sale it is a 1980 model motor.

HEY HOWARD, I WAS NOT TRYING TO START ANY PROBLEMS FOR ANYONE. YOU NEED TO TALK TO JAME DEAN BEFORE YOU TRY TO SELL THAT ENGINE. I WILL NOT GO INTO ANY DETAILS BUT THERE IS A LOT THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO IT.

I spoke to him fist thing this morning.

He knows the motor he has done the work on it he is the one that set the price to sell it for not me saying that was fair market value.

You bought a motor good for you.

You paid abot 50% of fair market value good for you.

Did I say my motor was in outstanding condition or like new no. :smt014

I said it was running fine when I took it off my boat which is true. I like getting super deals as much as the next guy.

He said you looked at it said you wouldn't be interested and left.

I am glad you got a good deal I would have been glad to get a newer bigger motor for less also.

The motor is what it is you are right it is used and I don't get the attitude. :(

Hmmm, I've seen the motor. Rode in the boat with the 90 on it. It ran fine, but didn't have enough hp to pull the bow up with the batteries and trolling motor up there. Sold WAM the 120 he is using now. Then as now, James Dean, a deal who should know, set the price. There is nothing in the description in this ad to indicate anything like it is a pristine motor. Can't be any more fair than to tell a man he is welcome to look at it and kick the tires. Cars, boats, motors and women all have the same thing in common, some is ugly in one man's eye and a beauty in anothers.

I too am puzzled by PA's attitude here. :o
