Where have you stayed that was reasonable, clean, and had nice people. Somewhere with easy water access. Stuff to do if the weather is bad. Possibly during scallop season. With good inshore fishing. And most of all would you stay there again. Anywhere from homosassa to mexico beach. Thanks.
Well it's not within your range, but we go to Orange Beach AL every year during thanksgiving and spend a week. We rent a condo from Brett-Robinson rentals, and stay at either the Phoenix XI or IX. Always clean awesome gulf view (10th floor or higher),Full kitchen, laundry, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths/ Lr/Dr free parking, and security officers. There is a public ramp within 1 mile of the place. Plenty of great places to eat out. Pay for three nights and get the 4th night free.
Scallop Cove Villas - Cape san Blas
The Port Inn - Port St Joe
Numerous private rentals on St George Island, all excellent, pity my memory for names isn't.
"Reasonable" is like, "how long is a piece of string".
Accommodation costs in the UK are very high in comparison to the US and with the dollar currently at almost $2 to £1, they will be even higher for any US visitors over here.
Thats why I come over there.
Port Inn- St. Joe- Last time I stayed there it was $95 a night. Each room individually decorated with it's own theme. (20 Rooms) They have good quality beds. Free Continental Breakfast. Short hop to Cape San Blass. Located right on the bay. Nice people and personable service but rather pricey.
Time is the most precious commodity we have in life, stay focused.
