[quote="Littoral"]Dog Island Shoal.
+30 inch Spanish on topwater. A big cooler full.
I’d try and explain further but it would be useless.
Conditions were ideal. Crystal clear, above and below.

Beautiful macks. Did Herrnkind catch that big one he is holding? Ask him if they bit better on the nail clippings or the chocolate chips.

EJ, got me on the chips or clips but I'll ask him.
Yes, it was his fish and it was the first big one we caught. The rest of that story was he'd just lost the fish at the boat and didn't realize I'd netted it at the same time. He was right pleased when he saw that.

Capt Ron, yes, the lat-line dipped. Spanish. :thumbup:

Topwater was Chug Bugs with upgraded rings & hooks (Owner).

I suspect he will remember the time we did a test of feeding preference of the French Angel, while saturated at Hydrolab, Grand Bahama, circa 1975.

Chug Bugs with 50lb flouro. Never got cut off. (?)
I also threw Gotchas but when we found fish I tried to stick with topwater.
Had to be persistent and worked it hard to make em mad.
When they strike hold the rod up as high as you can & they'll do the largemouth thing.
Unreal.
