I'm all for controlled burns, ecological benefits, biosomes, etc. but I'm tired of this damn smoke!

I feel infringed upon having to suck it.

I'm protesting!

The smoke thats impacting Tallahassee and Thomasville is from the wildfires in SE GA. We wouldn't have this problem if everyone did more prescribed burning.

Don't listen to him RB. He's burning just north of your house to torture you. He's got it out for ya :-D

Found this:
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSONVILLE HAS ISSUED A DENSE
SMOKE ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM EDT THIS MORNING.

A SMOKE PLUME FROM A WILDFIRE IN NORTHERN WARE COUNTY GEORGIA HAS
REDUCED THE VISIBILITY TO NEAR ZERO SOUTH OF ARGYLE GEORGIA. DUE
TO LIGHT WINDS FROM THE NORTHEAST...DENSE SMOKE MAY SPREAD FURTHER
SOUTHWEST INTO HAMILTON COUNTY FLORIDA THIS MORNING.

... Smoke from southeast Georgia wildfire continues to spread
across the local region...

The plume of smoke from a large wildfire in southeast Georgia continues
to spread from east to west across the local tri-state area. Visibilities
in some locations are dropping to around 2 miles at times.

Persons with asthma... multiple chemical sensitivity and other respiratory
ailments that can be triggered by the smoke should consider staying
indoors today. Prolonged periods of inhaling this smoke can be hazardous...
especially to those who already suffer from respiratory ailments.

The smoke will continue to be a problem for our area over the remainder
of the weekend since low level winds are forecast to remain generally
from east to west. It may particularly become troublesome late tonight
and early Sunday morning... especially in areas closest to the location
of the fire... as any residual smoke could get trapped close to the
surface.

We should get some relief early next week as winds swing around to
the south and southwest sending the smoke in the opposite direction.

We will update this product periodically until conditions improve
over the region.
