The bride and I launched at 7:30 AM and off we go. First stop is about 3-4 miles from the channel. Fish and drift for awhile, no dice. Bride left breakfast in truck, no problem we got Gulp!. Head a little further up the hill, water temp improving slowly, but climbing none the less. Nothing doing. A little futher up the hill and the day broke open, after lunch. I was throwing a Mirrolure She Dog aquired at the club meeting Thursday, quite a few boils and several short strikes. Change baits to the dependable Catch 2000, clear with gold sides. 16" Trout not a trophy but the skunk is off of the boat for the day. A few casts latter with a silver MirroDine, the biggest Ladyfish I've ever seen. Lossen the drag and let her run. Great fighting fish, lots of fun. Back to the Catch 2000, 17" trout a fatty goes in the box. By the way the bride is casting like there is now tomorrow. Gulp! under a Cajun Thunder, just to show her the fish are there, cut off by a nice Spanish. Next cast, 24" spanish on the MirroDine (super little bait ) I tying on old faithful again (the same Catch 2000 :-D ), I hear my bride say words I didn't know she knew, and see a brown streak headed for Cuba :o . Get the rod tip up and turn I coach praying it breaks off so I don't risk screwing my wife's first cobia up  . Well, no such luck. After a few trips around the boat the cooler is open, the gaff is in hand and low and behold he looks so graceful and so short by about 6". I know how short not because I gaffed him but because he jumped (honest to God) in the boat and just laid there. Measure and take few pics and release no harm no foul. We were both shaking (her from excitment and me from the stress of trying to land your WIFE'S biggest fish ever). A few more casts and few more boils and pulled hooks and to the ramp we go. I have provided for the family dinner table :lick: yet again. I think I'll flush the motor andclean some fish and take a nap. The boat will get a good cleaning tomorrow maybe even a wax. :smt004

Watch the Oregon Scientific website. They run specials all the time. I got a 3 megapixel for $30.
