Hit the water about 7. Said hello to Mr Keels at the ramp. Went east into a pretty stiff breeze. Threw lots of stuff...got hits on everything; but, only hooked up on one lure. Ended up catching about 15 trout, all cookie cutters at about 17-18". Also a few real runts. Never could find the big boys. Lots of short strikes today. Wind was a pain. Fished most of the day in 2-3 feet.

No fair I was going to post the same thing. Only we ended up with 4 keeper trout and many shorts. Ran to the rockpile and got 3 nice rockbass and broken off by a grouper.

Sounds like you did pretty good. Mine was once again a one fish day......caught a few more but only one keeper. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I am getting a lot of hits but can't seem to land one. Maybe I just need more practice. I seem to spend a good portion of my day fighting with my reel instead of fishing. I can make a mess of my line in no time flat, I bet I have broken some sort of record!

I got a lot of pecks and nibbles today Queen B. Very few of the fish hit hard. They were also picky about what they wanted. Tried a lot of stuff until I found something that worked.

Thanks for asking that Birddog. I was wondering the very same thing, I thought maybe it was bad to ask.

Heck no. Ask away. All they can do is tell you to go climb a tree.

"They" are only bad if they don't tell you. :D

You think that was a bad thing. You know RS and I have talked about this, we both wished we would've gone back south on tourney day. There were some fine fish down there. 8)
