Well I got the day off school and work friday so thats mandatory grounds for goin fishin...
Got to the LH around 6:45 and me and my best fishin partner had it to ourselves. Until about 7:30 it was the best I've ever seen it out there. I couldn't keep a shrimp in the water for more than a couple seconds it seemed...went through more than a couple dozen in less than 30 minutes just east of the light house. wasnt much size to them, all being 13-16, but it sure was some hot action.
All the sudden the wind picked up pretty bad and the fish got a serious case of lock-jaw. fished the flats the next few hours w/ everything in the box and caught maybe 3 or 4 shorts.
Decided to go to the bars around high noon and glad I did. Caught 5 or 6 all on live and all 15+ with one goin 22. hooked up to something with good size to it but i think those damn oysters got the best of my line and stapped me off..sure do wish i coulda seen it, im guessin a good red prolly. all in all great day spent with the pup and away from the city.
