A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
I know I can't be the only one. It's Monday and all I can think about is fishing. I am sitting at my desk at work thinking about being on the water. How do you guys handle this? Is there medication? A 12 step program? I am trying to figure out how to get from Tally to the Flats and back on my lunch hour and include a couple hours of fishing time? Does this obsession wear off or am I going to be like this from now on? FISH FISH FISH FISH FISH, it's all I want to do!
I gotta have this site to make it through my days in this place...i know exactly how you feel....think about fishin, then , go get some lunch, , and wait for friday...
My best prescription is this forum, all the magazines you can find, and surround yourself with fishing friends, come to the club meetings, etc. The worst part about it, is that as bad as we all have it, none of us want it to go away.
"Why does Sea World have a seafood restaurant?? I'm halfway through my fish burger and I realize, Oh man....I could be eating a slow learner."
Or just do like me and live close unuff ta get a fix after work if needed course ya still gotta have the forum ta talk about fishin during the other times
I do have it bad!!! Oh Well.....I guess I will have to learn to live with it and make the most of my weekends. I can't make it to the May 5th tournament but hopefully I will be at the next one. I am going to have to work out a way to wet a hook for a few min. on the occassional afternoon just to get me through the week!
QB- After a few years it becomes a double edged sword. When you are at work all you can do is think of fishing. When you are home all you can do is think of fishing. When you are finally out there and you've caught your limit, all you can do is think of being at home with the kids. If I bring the whole family along, it is the ultimate experience, and I'm usually the one who does not want to leave when it's time to go back to the hill.
