Garmin Handheld eTrex GPS

Post by silverking »

Garmin eTrex (yellow) waterproof handheld GPS. 12 channel receiver with 500 waypoint memory. Easy to use with one hand. Excellent backup unit or perfect for kayak.

Near new condition. Retails for $100, but you can add this one to your fishing gear for just $65.

Does the Etrex have a USB cable so you can hook it up to a computer?

Also, does or can it have an external power supply?

No USB connection, internal antenna and battery-powered (2 AA). There is a contact point at the top of the unit. Will have to dig out the manual to verify it that's for a fixed mount connection. Can't remember.

Menu includes mark, waypoints, route, tracks and setup.

It's a very basic unit. I only used it to register speed while doing boat tests, hence the nearly new condition.
