carrabelle 4-22-07

Post by KFulater »

Me and 3 friends got to carrabelle at 7:30 and put the boat in the water. We soon found out the wind was blowing a little bit. But we ventured to the flats to catch some pinfish and hope the wind would lay down a little. After about 1hour and 4dozen pins we decided to try to go. At about 3 miles offshore and 3-5ft with an occasional 6ft+ rouge waves, we put out the trolling lines and ventured farther. After no luck I decided to run to O tower. We sat there for a couple of hours catching nothing. The seas finally laid down a bit, so we decided to check a few holes around that area. We caught two red snapper and some short gags. At about five o'clock we decided to hit one last hole where I hooked the first keeper grouper. We came around and kept drifting the same spot, due to a bent anchor, catching more snapper and grouper along the way until sundown. We decided to head back to the hill calling it a day. Sadly, we had to leave em bitting.
here are some pics
