FISHIN ST. MARKS

Post by FUTCHCAIRO »

THE TWO OLD MEN OF THE SEA LAUNCHED THE BARGE THIS MORNIN AT THE LIGHTHOUSE POOL AT 7:30. WHEN WE GOT TO THE END OF THE CANAL THERE WAS A GAIL BLOWING OUT OF THE SOUTH. WE EASED TOWARD THE EAST AND FINALLY STOPPED AT AROUND THE # 3 STAKE. TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, WE CAUGHT 14 TROUT AND HAD 3 KEEPERS BY 1:00 P.M. THE WIND BLEW A STEADY 20 MPH WITH GUST UP TO 30 THE WHOLE TIME WE WERE THERE. THOSE 3 TROUT WERE 15 1/5", 17", AND 18". MOST OF THE THROW BACKS WERE BETWEEN 8-10"
WATER TEMP WAS 74, WATER CLEAR, WIND HOWLING.
ALL OF THE TROUT WERE CAUGHT ON SLURP WHITE GRUBS. MAYBE THE WIND WILL WORK FOR US NEXT TIME.

thanks for the post PA. The winds have been tough this year, but your day still sounds like a better than mine.

Decide if your gonna be able to make it to st. joe on the 5th yet?

It took some "ol' salts" to hang in there with that wind today, I was down on the condo project and it was about to blow us off the balcony! :o
