NOAA lied!!!! SJ Bay

Post by MudDucker »

Got the crowd up this morning. They were dragging butt. Decided to beat the crowd and put in at the State Park and run down. Had a tip to troll for spanish just out of the landing. Nope...nada...zippo. Ran down the bay. Didn't see any fish moving or birds working. Fished close to the pig...supposed to be high tide. It weren't. Pin fish only. Moved around nada. Finally got in 3 foot of water with pretty heavy grass and started to pick up a fair number of short trout. Only one keeper. At 11AM, the crew mutinied and wanted to go swim on the big sand bar. Came up the rear...the deep end and bumped bottom. Sure wasn't much of a tide. Kids decided they was unfed, so by noon we had the boat on the trailer and by 12:30 we wuz sitting in the Conehead. Had a good grouper samich. Beautiful day and the kids had fun :-D

Oh yea, the reason I say NOAA lied is cuz da wind was blowing like crazy. I see from Baygator's report, I should have shoved the crew out earlier.
