prop question

Post by e-lineman »

I have a 17' Quest CC I just bought, it has an 94 evinrude 88 special electric tilt and trim. The engine is mounted as high as possible. The prop thats on it is a Michigan wheel rapture 13 1/4 - 19. and is slow to get up on plain I had the max 5 people in it yesterday and it was really choppy and it really struggled to get up. I also have a alum 13 3/4 - 15 that I will put on today and try this week. Im not that concerned about speed 35 will be fine. if I try the other prop and it doesnt do the trick what direction should i go. The 15 prop is rough to, dinged up. Will a 4 blade help if i buy a new one. Oh it also ohas a hydrofoil on it. Any advise appriciated. Image Image Image

My guess is a 19" prop is way too much prop for that rig. My first question is how many RPM are you turning at WOT? I would think a 15" 3 blade or a 13" 4 blade would be more in line.
What was I supposed to do today?
