Whole Weekend

Post by jsuber »

Went to Wakulla Beach Friday night and picked up a 20" Trout after Tallatales regailed me with stories of the dozen Redfsih he caught just minutes before I arrived. Saturday I fished with everyone in the Kayak Fishing tournament at Wakulla Beach and I caught myself a 20" Trout. Most everyone in the tournament caught Redfish and Trout. Biggest aggregate of Redfsih/Trout combo was 44" followed by 43.5" and 38", and 37.5'. Very close tourney with lots of fish being caught. I went out Sunday to Hickory Mounds and caught a 20" Redfish, and 5 trout between 18-20" at a slack tide. Went up to Georgia with some fresh Redfish, Trout, and flounder with some grouper on the sdie and fished Pops lake. Fished with my uncle and I caught 20 or so small largemouth from 1-2 lbs, and hooked one Beaver, accidently.

Just make sure ya get one of them "beaver proof" models. One of them furry critters would make short work of one if ya brought him over the side :smt005
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".

Did you put in at the anky ramp? There was a kyak just ahead of us at the ramp. It left as I was backing up at the ramp. Sure looked familiar.

Nice catches...

I didn't put in at Anky, I put in at Hickory Mounds. I hung the beaver while in a Jon Boat and accidently hooked him up to him. Made for a good pull on ultra-ultra light tackle.
