I always thought they were a great place to keep your beer.

But they get you up high when looking to sight fish.

I USE MINE OCCASIONALY WHEN WE FLY FISH, BUT THE BEST REASON TO HAVE ONE IS FOR SETTING OUT POLES TO DRIFT IN THE BACK.
