James and I started down the river at 10a. Slick calm until about 1pm. Fished around Rock Island and only caught 1 nice Trout on a Cotton Cordel, gold/black back. Went into creek to secret hole on for a red. tried shrimp on bottom & float-nada. But on jigs and caught 2 trout, 4 macs, and a nice flounder. Came out of creek hole by 3:30p and had good wind for drift. Made a long drift in 3' and I caught my very first Cobia on gulp shrimp, white. He was only 20" and back he went, I was pumped, nice fight on 8lb Stren. James caught a nice 22" Red on a New Penny gulp. Headed up the river by 4:30. Met up with the neighbors coming in just in front of us. Terry landed a 37" Cobia on 8lb , and she said it was a heck of a battle, and was so exited when the fish was landed.
Great day in all, beautiful weather and a few fish. :-)
