Went out to the Lighthouse friday with a few buddies to see if we could get on any fish, turned out they were bitin pretty good and we had a blast.
Got the boat in around 6:45 and headed to the first spot just east of the light house...wish I would of had some shrimp to throw but Scott was no where to be found at Jerrys , wish he woulda said something on his site bout not being open Fri on time but oh well...2nd choice to shrimp had to be penny gulp and that seemed to be the trick for the trout. Didnt catch to many big ones but tore the 12-14's up...prolly caught somewhere b/w 40 and 50, 90% being on penny gulp under a CT.
Went to Stoney B as the sun got higher and didnt get a thing besides a bunch of pinfish bites.
Headed to the Wakulla Reef around noon and caught one small bass and not another bite...headed back to the flats and picked up 2 more keepers to end the day around 3..
Took home:
5 trout to 18 in
1 mack...
ps..the guy in the red sweatshirt is like a brother to me and is the one who was in the bad wreck on meridian rd Sunday morning...I will have a post on in general discussion for those that are interested..please keep Brett and his family in your prayers.
A 19-year-old Chiles High School student was in stable condition Monday evening at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital following a single-car crash late Sunday morning. Tallahassee Police Lt. Jim Martinez said Brett Kinchen was driving north on Meridian Road near Summerbrooke Drive around 11:30 a.m. when he crossed over the median and struck a tree. In addition to TPD, the Leon County Sheriff's Office, the Tallahassee Fire Department and Leon County EMS responded to the scene. Authorities found Kinchen unconscious at the time. Martinez said, "Speed and alcohol are considered factors in the crash."
Yea thats him...He's doing better, thanks for asking. The doctors are trying to gradually take him off of sedetitives but Brett's really confused and has no idea where he is yet, and therefor is not liking all the tubes and wires connected to him when he begins to awake. Brett woke up this morning after a CT scan for the first time and looked at his dad, and his dad said hes never seen someone so terrified...this was hard for his dad bc Brett isnt scared of anything it seems..the broken bones will heal with time and it doesnt look like there will be any brain damage...Hes just going to need alot of time and alot more prayers...thank you for your concerns and please remember Brett in your thoughts and prayers
