1/16 unless the wind is howling which seems to be the case everytime I get to go. The slower the fall the better. I'm beginning to really like the jerkbaits rigged Texas style w/ no weight.

Jigs

Post by Capt Reggie »

 Pink, Red, Chartreuse in 1/8-1/4 oz., long shank hooks on jig heads. 3/0-5/0 wide gap Worm hooks (Gamagatsku, Owner, Eagle Claw all make them) for 4-5" Assassins & 7/0-9/0 Bait hooks (by the same people) for giant Gulps & Assassin plastic baits - place the hook through the nose (like a live bait) and you will get a better, more natural action upon retrieves...use jerk, jerk, rest rhythm i.e. let the bait fall back for a few seconds (that's when the fish will attack, usually)! :lick:
