A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
There are new buoys on the river to mark "some" of the rock. I am not sure who supplied them, but a couple of the neighbors helped put them in. He said they used chain and bolts to anchor them to the bottom, so they should hold up. I saw them for the first time on 4-17-07.
Are you talking about in the river? Is the big one near the last no wake sign marked? How about the big one near the dead tree? Thanks for the reports. Been about 3 weeks and I am getting the itch. Wish someone would mark some of the rocks a mile or two out. Thanks again.

No kidding, I saw them Friday and was like . At first glance they were a little confusing. I was expecting channel markers, like the old PVC ones.
Atticus, I second that # request.
Okay I have this one in my GPS. Just downstream of the no wake zone. East river bank in the crux of the bend there. Found it the hard way this winter. I was looking at some vultures on the West river bank and hit this rock. Saturday morning there was a bass boat hung up on it too.
