Launch at 07:00 fire up ready to leave and notice there is no p stream so I clean out the dirt dobber nest(been to long since I went fishin :smt011 ).Head out armed with squid, mullet and northern mackerel stop on the flats and pick-up a few pins, and we're off to 60' seas flat calm :( WOT all the way.Nothing much happening here caught 1-20" red grp. Troll for about an hour picking up 1 short gag and losing a stretch 30 to a #@%^ kingfish :smt013 . Try bottom again in 55' and get into a bunch of short blackfish and squirrelfish with a nice keeper black every now & then. Get back to marina @ 15:00 and decide the grouper may go on the feed just before dark. So we leave the boat in the water and go to town take care of some business and back to the water we go.Head out @ 17:00 to a different area this time trolling from 25' to 32' with not 1 strike. Pick up and run to 48' anchor down on very good coral and rock bottom, watched a nice sunset and moonrise fishing with live pinfish and squirrelfish on bottom and a pinfish under a cajun thunder finally caught a 4' shark about midnight and decided to call it off and enjoy a nice moonlight ride back to the hill and except the defeat.
Total bring home
1-pmg
8-blackfish
1-20" red grp.
sorry no pics this time.
