Your Prayers are Needed

Post by mjsigns »

Last night my 35 year old niece had a terrible automobile accident. She was riding home by herself. The accident occurred around 2:00am at the corner of Jim Lee and Magnolia. She lost control of the vehicle and crossed Magnolia and flew over a small ditch and hit a tree head on. She was thrown out of the passenger side window. A sheriff's deputy told us that he thought by the looks of the car that no one could have survived the accident. She was transported to TMH where they found she had broke her left arm in two places, tore some cartridge in one of her knees, chipped a kneecap, and tore the rotary cuff in her hip and did some kind of damage to her pelvic girdle. This morning around 10:00am they decided to transport her over as Shands Hospital in Jacksonville. She is currently in the ICU at Shands and is waiting surgery.

Please pray that she pulls through this and her health be restored. Please pray for her mother and father and our families.

Thanks-

MJ

Sorry to hear about your niece... that's a bad corner/intersection any which way you look at it.

Is this the niece that has been at your house in the white car?

Yes... Somebody hit that white car and totaled it tow months ago, but she was not hurt. I think I introduced you to her. She had bought this car with the insurance money.

From what my sister-in law said this morning, they are still assessing her doing different tests, x-rays and CAT scans. She remains in the ICU in Shands.

Thanks to everyone for your prayers and support.

Good morning Mike. Thanks for letting us be a part of praying and caring for your family's need. In 1949, (age 5) while I was staying with my Grandparents, My mother and father were in a very bad wreck while traveling in New York. Driving a brand new 49 Mercury which as most of us know is considerably heavier built than any non military vehicle on the road today. Their car was totaled, Dad was driving and was ejected through the REAR window and suffered a broken back. Mom ended up on the floor board with her hand on the brake. Dad spent several weeks in the hospital up there before he could be moved home to Missouri. After he returned he was in a body cast from his shoulders to his waist for a good while longer. He celebrated his 92nd birthday last week :D and has experienced very little residual problems from the injury. Both Mom and Dad will be heading from Frostproof to Missouri in 5 or 6 weeks driving their 40' Winny pull'n another Mercury (newer version this time). I say all this not to try and minimize the very difficult circumstances that your niece and her family are dealing with, but to offer testimony that healing can and will be there. There were a lot of prayer's offered up for Dad and God answered them. We will do our part for your niece as well.
