Econfina Questions?

Post by QueenB »

I've never been on the Econfina River and I was wondering about how deep it is and how is it to navigate out to the flats from there? Any info would be helpful. Thanks

slow and steady wins the race. (because you still have a prop and a foot.) beware of the end of the ramp at low tide.

don't go at low tide. go the first time on a medium to high tide to learn it. have some friends that live on the river and fish it every day. they hit a rock and took the whole foot off the motor last year at the mouth of the river. needless to say, they were shocked since they know it better than anyone. as long as you go slow, you will be fine as stated above. get careless, and you will pay for it.
