Boy I dont know if any of you fished out of Ecky Sat. 5/12, but it was a rough day to say the least. No current, no wind.

!!!! Got to the ramp @ 6:30 and put in. Headed to my favorite redfish hole, nada. Headed to redfish point, nada. Doubled back to rosey reds, nilch. To say the least ,my anticipation level was headed south. Its 10 am when my buddy (AJ) put the first fish in the boat, A 18" trout. I decide to put up the bite a bait and pull out everyone's secret weapon, GULP. I get worn out by AJ for the next hour. He's fishing an impossible color combo on a no name jig and Im fishin Gulp, How is this possible??? Valuable lesson learned. Kind of answered all my questions about to Gulp or not to Gulp and when. Anyways, wound up limiting out after visiting twelve locations, one from my pal Cairo Trout(kudos to ya). Was fortunate enough to get to play cat and mouse with two huge cobia(50 pounders) for about ten minutes. Couldnt get em to to take a jig , wish I had a pinfish!!! Caught Spanish, too many blues to count , a really nice shark with a nasty attitude on the one pinfish I caught all day, and A couple of short jacks. Fished for about an hour trying to catch number 15 for the limit, wound up catching two, a 19 and 22" on the last cast. Turned the 19 back. Found some great new water, stored about thirty new numbers and the new prop runs great!!!!
