I forgot to mention one other incident the week before. I took my 12 year old son with me to hit a few balls for my birthday....you know, father-son afternoon hitting a few golf balls was better than any gift to me

We set up on the mat and started hitting. My son went through his balls rather quickly, so while waiting for me to finish, he picked up a few of the balls he barely made contact with (basically within 3-5 feet of the tee). He asked me if it was ok to pick up the balls......I said sure being that there was no one else hitting around us. While picking up these balls, Mr. @hole comes over and tells him to put the balls down. He goes on to explain to us that once you hit the ball, it's "spent." You are not to pick up any hit balls regardless. I try to explain to @hole that he asked my permission to retrieve the balls, and I said that I didn't see a problem picking up 12-15 balls to try to hit them again. @hole informed me that he ran the course, not me, and in order to practice there, his rules had to be followed. I said "fine." When he walked off I told my son to pick up a few and hit them anyway. @hole came back by and noticed that the balls were gone. He asked my son if he picked them up and he said "yes sir." He started in on my son about not listening and I cut him off. I told him that he didn't need to speak to
my son that way and that I didn't see why he was getting his panties into such a wad

We were done hitting by this time, so we went ahead and left. I apologized to my son for "getting him into trouble" and he replied..."what a jerk dad."
Last weeks article in the Eastside Chronicle about Cross Creek sure made it sound like a
family friendly course. I wouldn't buy that....at least not with this putz running the place.
I told a few guys about my incidents there and they are going to make it a priority to stop by for a little drivin' and cryin'
Rocket, tell your buddy he's an ok guy in my book and welcome to the club
