new wide body reel

Post by BAD BEHAVIOR »

Have any of you guys tried the new reels @ South Ga Outdoors? They are made by US REELS and they are probably the best reel Ive ever owned. I can cast a 1/4 oz jig 80 to 100 yds with 10lb line. I thought Cairo Trout was pulling my leg when he told me this but it truly is a fine reel. I matched it with a 7 foot challenger medium action rod. The reel has the most sensitive drag Ive ever fished. Its a short reel and the balance is phenomenal. I suffer from carpal tunnel, not really suffer, I just deal with it , but this reel is so light, my hands dont bother me near as much. Give Heath a call and try out one of these jewels, I assure you you'll put the other ones back in the rod box!!!!! Another thing is that it will hold almost 400 yds of 8lb test, 277 yds of 10 lb. Thats a long lot of line to spool for a tough old red!!!! Good luck to you guys and check out this really great new product.
