Shift Cables

Post by Sea Fox »

Mine act like they are in need fo some lubrication. Anybody know the best way to get it in the cable? I have twin Zukes and they are real similar in the way they feal. It may be in the control box but its free on the warm up mode (just working the throttle). Thanks, SF. 8)

I had a similar problem and thought it was the cables. It ended up being in the motor where the shift cable connects to a rod that goes to the foot. There is a bushing that holds the rod. That is where the friction was. Maybe that will save you the trouble of disconnecting the cables.
