Speaking of mystery fish..

Post by Soccerdad »

Do any of you know what that trash fish is ....

My buddy and I have always called them 'pilot fish' but they are not a true pilot fish (not the pilot fish that swims alongside sharks, eats their leavings and takes advantage of their larger scarier size).

These are single color 'hitchhikers' with a flat piece of velco on the top of their heads .. you can stick small ones to the boat.

Do they have a name?

Next time one of yall catch a Ramora and you have kids on the boat. Take the fish and let him stick to your arm, kids get a kick out of that.

Kids love that as much as having a lizard hanging from you ear by his mouth and waring him like an earring.

The kids will laugh till it hurts.
