Econfina 5/25/07

The smoke was thick this morning. Launched at 0730 and headed out the river to find that pesky 20 mph east wind, again. Hit a creek mouth and caught 5 reds in the first half hour.

Chalk sent me some numbers to check out for the Icky tournament. So, I left the reds and went trout hunting. Maybe I'm losing my touch. I had a tough day trouting. Managed 8 keepers between 16.5" and 19". Nothing big. Nothing spactacular. The trout catchin was kinda mixed in with the catfish, pinfish, ladyfish, rock bass, blue fish, squirrel fish catchin. I think I caught about every kind of trash fish out there today.

You need to enter the Trash Fish Classic with a day like that. I'm sure you'll find them June 2nd.
