Do you have a hydrofoil on your moter? I would not be without one on a smaller moter. :-D

That plate looks a lot like Bobs hydroplate. Can you give some links for those sites from Texas and Louisianna?

Heres a link to a thread in Florida Sportsman that talks about tunnel hulls. It also has a link to a thread of a guy that built a tunnel hull in Tx and it shows pics of the kind of plate I'm talking about. I just have a Bob's and it helped a lot with the cavitation but I'm considering a shallow blaster below:

Here's some pics you can see they're a little larger than the Bob's plate. The side fins are supposed to compress the dirty water coming out of the tunnel which is what causes the prop to slip.

Thanks T Smith, that plate is shore a biggun! I'll read up on this stuff, as I'll have the tachometer on in a day or so, and then gittin a 4 blade prop.
