THIS AREA IS A WELL KEPT SECRET FOR KEY WEST GUIDES DURING SEPTEMBER. KEEP AN EYE ON THOSE SOUTH FLORIDA TRAILER TAGS
Yep Lanark use to be the bomb back in the early to mid 90's. You could jump 5-6 tarpon a day. The guides moved in and the tarpon got spooky. I did find a new area last fall where their in the same pattern as lanark, I may have to dust off the 12wt and give them a shot this year. Just wish the wind would lie down.

 Let's have a Fly Fishing Tournament...but, please, none of that "two-fly" foolishness like the last club did years ago - just fish with however many flies you want...but, fish a fly, eh!!! :smt007

I fly fish, mainly for trout and salmon in freshwater.
The opportunities for sea fly fishing in the UK are slim and success is very limited.

I do fish with a fly rod and floating line, with a small biscuit super glued on the hook, for carp, thats great fun.
As is, large feathery lures for northern pike.

If you have to use more than one fly, its called feathering and that ain't fly fishing. (insert shaking head smilie here).

Fly fishing fun

Sounds like we got enough for a tourney. Should we make it for tarpon? Big Bend Fishing Dot Net Turkey Point Invitational Gold Cup One Fly Feathering Tournament.

Redfish on the fly = bypassing washing the house Saturday...I did take lil Chalk fishing from shore for an hour or two...the rest of the day was spent tying #4 toads and Chernobyl Shrimp and ignoring anything else
