My wife joined me and Dave on this trip. Had a late start, didnt get on the water until 2 pm. The action was fairly decent right away, with Dave picking up a 17'' fish in the first cast. It was supposed to be a bait stop. We ended up with 4 legal trout in the cooler by 4 pm and then we could not buy another bite until around 6. Perhaps it was due to very little water movement with low tide at 4.40 pm. We moved around quite a bit during this time and settled on a drift in 3.5' of slightly stained water. From 6 to 6.30 pm we put 8 more legal fish in the cooler. The bite was fast and furious. We had many missing hook sets and a few fish unbuttoned on us. Hate to leave them bitting but it was getting late. Ended up with 12 total for the day.
Also, a couple of pictures of Dave's reds from last week. I am too lazy to pull up the old post from last week.

Very nice group of trout there. Now how bout some information on what you hung em on?? If you were stop'n for bait it sounds like you may have been thinking pin fish..... clue us in to what worked for you
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".

My only justification for paying for those over-priced gulp. Half a piece of those thing will last a whole trip. Just cut a little piece and pit it on a really small hook.
We had a good trip considering our short window of opportunity. They really turned on after low tide when the water switched around. It's surprising how fast things can change.
