How crowded will it be?

How crowded will it be?

Post by leonreno »

We are planning on going fishing this weekend and lately we have fished out of Lanark, but with the Saltwater Classic this weekend how crowded will the ramps be? Last weekend Lanark was packed. Should we head to parts east of the tournament? Anyone have any recollections of past years tournament weekend, thanks. Not so much worried about people on the water but about finding ramp room and parking.

Because you can fish from Aucilla to Mexico beach I would guess the traffic at the ramps will be about normal. What you saw last Saturday at Lanark is typical for a Saturday in June. If I was determined to fish the Lanark area I would launch from the Carrabelle River.

I'd launch at Lanark if'n that was what I wanted to do...at the end of the day load up and make sure you stop at the store and buy a coke and snickers bar, then go behind the counter and give that guy a big hug for being so nice

Thought I would let every one who might be wondering the ramp at Lanark was busy but no more busy than the Saturday before, actually maybe a little less crowded.

Quick Report, fishing stunk. One keeper trout, 15 or so short trout, some catfish, ladyfish and sharks.
