Slide In Truck Camper

Post by Algaegator »

I have a shadow cruiser slide in truck camper for sale. It's a pop-up type with a hard top and canvas sides. Three jacks raise and lower the thing. Features include a sink with about a 15 gallin holding tank, a propane stove, air conditioner and fridge. The fridge works with gas, but there's a problem with the 12 volt fridge function. It may need an inverter or someone who knows how to wire such things. It fits a short bed pickup with the tailgate down. I have taken my tailgate off and towed my boat with camper no problem. I don't need to sell the camper, but I'm considering it because I so rarely use it. If anyone's intereted I'll be glad to post more information and photos. My price is $900.00

As advertised it will sleep four. Theres a bed above cab and the table adapts to a bed. I think it will sleep two fishermen or two very intimate couples or four people if three are kids. This camper will not be like a home away from home, but it will give you a place to put your stuff and yourself away for an overnite getaway.

Would I have to have an F-250 class truck for it, or would an F-150 do? What truck have you been using?

I use a 2500 but a 1500 would handle it no problem. I don't know the weight, but it's probably rated as a very light truck camper. I wouldn't hesitate to put it on my nissan frontier if I needed to. Buzztail, did you indicate that you wanted more info and photos?
