Topwater Redfish ("Again")

Post by Littoral »

Updating this with this mornings Redfish. This one didn't quite have the topwater technique down so after 2 casts and a lot of vicious attempts right up to the side of my kayak I was ready with a jig & hooked up. :D
The pic is rough but it was still dark & the fish were waiting...

Howdy All, doing more reading than posting lately & not enough fishing. I also don't get much time on-line in the summer. Got out at first light this morning and this Redfish completely enhaled a Chug Bug. A little careful surgery & she was on her way.
Hail the topwater!

well done Lit. Doesn't get any better than that.

Mashes Sand, east, in front of some oysters. The fish actually still has the entire plug in his mouth in the picture. I was like "Joe Fisherman" because I'd just told my fishing partner exactly where I was going and what was going to happen. Then it did. The fish mised twice on my first cast and got it all the second time. :D
