Lanark - Shell Point

Post by Reel Slow »

Four of us took boats out of Lanark Friday, covering from the Bridge at SGI to Turkey Point. It was pretty slow all day finding a single red here and there, not much water moving in the am. You could seine about a million pounds of bait though.

About noon, all 4 boats had 2-3 reds and a few trouts. One boat did find a nice 27" trout though

A friend and I ended up with 6 reds (2 slot) and a 18" trout when I dropped them off at 4:00. I went back out as the tide was starting to rise. I found 2 more reds, including a nice 27" that made the day, and was released.

Sat AM I went to Shell Point with the long pole looking for reds. I'm still looking. Found one puppy. Highlight of the day was a 22" trout on a black clouser  Hard to sight fish when they ain't there to see

Can't wait till next time
