Had a bass club tournament on Seminole yesterday. Went up there Thursday to check things out. I had 4 good fish by mid day Thursday.
Picked up a little inside information from a fellow forum member Friday. Went where he suggested, and threw what he suggested yesterday morning. It payed off. My partner boated a fish on his first cast. We finished the day with 7 fish in the boat. I had three of them. (BTW, fellow forum member, all three of my fish, and 3 of my partner's fish came from where you sent us. )
It was dead calm yesterday morning. It got hot QUICK! Totally different conditions from Thursday. For those not familiar with my bass tournament past, I always struggle on Seminole. And, I usually do better on my pre fish days than in the tournament. Well, that was the case again this week.(keep your comments to yourself, Wevans )
There were eight of us fishing yesterday. No one had a limit. Paddletail won it with 4 fish that weighed a little over 11 pounds. My 3 little fish got me a 6th place finish. Not the best day I've ever had. But, on Seminole, I'm proud to have caught a fish.
atta boy Paddletail. Yesterday was one of those days that make you question why the sam hill I am doing out in this heat. Thankfully the afternoon breeze came along and blew away the hydrilla gnats. Nothing like your skin crawling with thousands of them all over you.

I couldn't talk Fast Freddie into fanning them off of me, either. I must have breathed in and eaten a million.

HEY JOHN SOUNDS LIKE IT WAS A LITTLE WARM OUT ON THE NOLE. SOME PEOPLE SAY IT BEATS WORKING, I AM BEGINNING TO THINK OTHERWISE, MIGHTY NICE IN MY AIR CONDITIONED SHOP WHILE I MAKE A FEW PLUGS. MAKING PLUGS IS ABOUT ALL I CAN DO WITH MY SHOULDER MESSED UP LIKE IT IS. I TRIED CASTING OVER AT THE POND SAT. MORN. AND AFTER 3 CAST AND ONE HOOK UP MY ARM AND SHOULDER HURT SO BAD I HAD TO HEAD BACK UP TO THE HOUSE. HOPE TO GET IT TAKEN CARE OF SHORTLY.
