6/23/07 Keaton with the family and the new Kenner

Post by Hit-n-Miss »

:-D 1st trip out with our new 1902 vision with my family and Bob the builder. Got on the water at 8:00 and headed out, break in period so could'nt run the moter over 4500 rpm. Started in 6' and caught nothing but rock bass. We headed out to 10-12' and caught fish all day fishing on the bottom. Wound up with 8 trout and 1 spanish. Probably caught 20-30 14.5" trout. All colors of gulps and swa's. Water was clear and 81-82 degrees. The family and I loved the new boat. It started flat calm and got quite choppy after 10:00. The boat has great room and rode great, even in a heavy chop at 32.5 mph(4500rpm) it was a dry ride. Man I'm glad my wife wanted a bigger boat. :smt007 I love that woman. :smt007 :-D

Glad you got out on the new boat. My Dad and I fish his 1901 Mako Inshore. Same hull as your Kenner. Great boat. We really like it. What motor do you have on it. We have a 4 stroke 115 Merc.

Hey Hit.

I think I can see you smiling all the way up here in NC. There is nothing like a new boat. I am headed to SGI in a couple of weeks for a full week. When I am not fishing, I hope to find the scallops around Lanark without all the sharks I am reading about. Don't plan on telling the girls that little piece of info.

Did you see any scallops around Steinhatchee while you were there?

Congrats! If you enjoy your Kenner half as much as I have mine then it will be money well spent.
