Second hand KB report 6/23

Post by Soccerdad »

OK - all fisherman are liars. But my buddy is a Methodist Preacher - which I guess means he gets paid for being a liar. I could not fish with him Saturday at Keaton or I would have the 'real' story.
I have got to tell you the fishing this past Saturday was better than I have seen it in 30 years! I would have given anything if you could have been there. I caught between 75 and 100 trout by myself! Of those I caught, only about 10 were too short. There was one span of about 30 minutes when I caught 20 trout on 20 cast. Not one was under 15 inches long. I did not even use the net because I had my limit in about 30 minutes. I caught 4 trout over 20 inches, including one that was 23 inches. Before I started fishing, I caught 20 pinfish. I used them all in about an hour and could not catch them quick enough. Soon after they hit the water, I had either a trout, blue fish or shark. They bit all day long! The local guide had told me to put up the Gulp bait and fish with the candy corn colored soft plastic. I tried it off and on all day, but did not catch a single fish on it. The molting color Gulp bait was by far the best color. I caught all four 20-plus inch trout on that color. It was a day fishermen live for!

I had 3 fish take every inch of my line off my pinfish rod. I could not slow them down! What an amazing day. I hope they continue to bite like they did Saturday. Why, even you might have caught your limit
No witnesses. I wonder if he think Jesus walked on the backs of the fish that were so think you could not possibly sink.
If there's no soccer (or fishing) in heaven - I'm not going!
