Left Cairo at 4:00 this morning and put boat in about 5:20. We idled out the river very slowly due to low light conditions. First stop was about 2' of water east of the river throwing topwater with no luck, then we motored futher east and started catching fish one after the other. Stayed pretty much in the same spot all morning. Final tally for the day was about 15-20 trout only 2-4 nonkeepers" we only kept 10". 1 nice redfish and lost 3-4 nice redfish and caught about 20 rock bass. Let me warn all scallopers, there are some huge sharks in less than 4' of water and we also saw two big manatees today.
Water temp was between 80-82 degrees.
