went out this past weekend in the morning and did pretty well on specks. had a buddy catch a mudfish that weighted upwards of 20lbs. i had always heard they tasted horrible so we gave it away to an old man fishing the bonnets for bream. went back yesterday and caught a few more specks to put in the freezer. what do you guys suggest throwing for bass other than horny toads and other types of frog baits?

I like to use a jerkbait with a rattle, and plastic worms by the shoreline and lillies.

You can swim a paddle tail or throw a soft jerkbait

Small spinner baits, chatterbaits, buzz baits, lizards - weightless or texas rigged, or paddle tails.

But 90% of our fish are on horny toads.

Is the ramp at the end of Bull Headly to shallow to put a 15ft fiberglass skiff? is the one on the other side better?

Gold colored Rapala(floating) has always been good to me.
