A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
I'll bring a rope and tow you behind your boat. I'm sure that'll raise some nice ones! We can kill two birds with one stone....do a shark population count and find out if human feces is really a shark repellent.
What a mess wrote:I am thinking it is time to do some serious shark fishing.
Maybe a couple of chum blocks and and some cut up fish.
Where do you think would be best to hook some bigguns?
Bird rack at Keaton maybe what day sounds best?
The fourth would get some excitement I am sure a couple of 7 footers.
You think it would bug folks if I let one drag my skiff around for a half hour?
anywhere in the bay. catch/gig yourself a big stingray and use it's wings for bait. caught 2 7+ foot bullsharks doing that last summer fishing from st. teresa beach. the scary part of it was that it never took more than 5 minutes after dropping a bait in the water for a shark to find it. they either really love stingray or there are just a lot more sharks in that area than you'd think.
My flatline pinfish rig got murdered by sharkes all day in about 10' of water 3miles S. of the Econfina river mouth.
I reeled in once to change pinfish, threw the old one in the drink and a shark came up and nailed it right there in front of me while I am standing on the boat holding the bare hook in my hand like an idiot. That thing was pretty smart.
I caught this one a few days ago between St. MArks and Shell Point.
I dressed out about 20 to 25 lbs of steaks and filletts. If you were to be around my housse this evening you'd see a man eating shark. And I'm sure Ill enjoy it.
