Going for a holiday.

Post by What a mess »

We will leave Friday in the A.M. for a quick get away to Keaton.

One Grandaughter's first trip the others second eight and nine years old.

I was not jokeing I am not going to suffer and wait, I will chum and hook what ever shows up.

I know that there will be some crap but I would bet I can pluck some sharks macks and maybe even a cobia out of the slick.

Yes I will avoid the divers I will also miss the tourney. I will trade fellowship with you guys for this anytime.

Has anyone had any luck on the moonlighting thing? I may try it once or twice while the girls sleep.

I have never done the Scallop thing and I know the moms will never let the girls go in the water.

I may stay after they leave and let my teenage boy and his buds try if they want to come down Sunday after the girls leave.

What a mess, for what it's worth I just got back from Keaton Beach. Plenty of scallops inside the KB Bird Rack, shallow enough for the 8 & 9 year old. Saw plenty of kids in that age bracket diving for scallops. Plenty of sharks and blue fish outside of the rack, an occasional keeper trout also. The FWC has 4 or 5 boats there so make licenses are up to date.
Good luck.
