Billy's Da Man
Just a little praise to a man who will bend over backwards or do what ever it takes to make sure you are completely 100% satisfied. As most of you already know a few weeks ago I placed my order for a Billy Stix Spiral rod (a Birthday present from my wife). I was going to break it in last Monday in the Tarpon tournament. Billy sent me an e-mail on Tuesday the 12th saying he had shipped it. Thursday and Friday I even came home for lunch and to check the mail hoping it would be there… Nada. Saturday morning I was working in the yard when the mailman stopped and pulled the long tube from the back of the truck. Boy was I excited. I noticed a crease in the tube and my happiness dissipated. I walked into the garage and proceeded to open my package and I pulled out the butt section and then out falls the top half of the rod. Yeah the postal service had broken my brand new rod. I said a few choice words and then calmed down. I went in the house and called Billy…. He was as devastated as I and said that this has never happened with any of the rods he has made and shipped around the world. Without hesitating or taking a second breath he said he would build me another one. That sure did easy my mind. Billy said he would check his stock and would get another one built just as soon as possible. I told Billy not to ship it that I’d be happy to drive to Gainesville and pick it up when it was ready. Billy said that the broken one would not happen again and I just told him that I’d rather pick it up than to wait 3 or 4 days for it to arrive through the mail. When the rod was completed Billy called me and he even suggested that he drive to Stark and meet me there which is almost half the distance. What a guy! When I pulled into the Wal Mart parking lot he was sitting there patiently waiting ( I arrived 15 minutes early) He gave me my new rod and took the broken one. We talked a few minutes and then he gave me a Billy Stix cap to help ease the pain and suffering. I am completely satisfied with the product and totally pleased with his customer service attitude. I am now a proud owner of a Billy Stix Spiral rod and cap. Billy did bust his hump to get me my rod and I’ll sing praises from now on out. So the question is would I recommend a rod built by Billy to my friends…I think you all know the answer to that.

Thank you Billy

Thats the sort of thing you take into account, when buying a new rod.
