It was a good redfish day though they ran a little small. The trout were tough. I saw enough dink trout Saturday to last me a while. Really enjoyed it Chalk.

Monday with Flats Picker

Really enjoyed it FP. I believe we had 8 reds and 4 trout on Monday. Finally found a few nice trout. Seems like we had a 24" and 23" caught on suspending plugs.

Tuesday with Reed Gaines

Reed's Redfish

Another nice day on the water this time with our beach neighbor Reed Gaines. Reed put a whipping on me early with 3 trout and a nice flounder. I believe we ended up with another 8 reds.

Wednesday
went alone Wednesday morning, my hydraulic steering was acting up so I hated to ask anyone to come along and possibly get thrown out of the boat. Ended up with 11 reds and 1 trout on topwater. Finally had an east wind blow all the grass off the bank that made topwater possible.

My FIL took my wife, my son , my niece, her boyfriend , and myself out for a little grouper diggin'. We fished around 60' of water with live and dead bait. It was pretty rough in the a.m. but settled down nicely for the ride in. Ended the day with 7 gags, 3 reds, and 8 snapper. A couple of the snapper went 7 lbs.

Friday
Snuck back out for a quickie on the bay. A north wind blew a round bale's worth of hay over my redfish water so I struggled a bit. Still managed 4 pups.

It was a great week at the beach. If I was a rich man I'd do it for a livin'. Can't wait til next time.
