Took 3 coworkers along with the bride to KB this past Saturday for a little fishing and scaloping. Yes, we had 5 on my 18.6' bay boat, making it a little tight for cork slinging but luckily no one has to go to the hospital for hook removal though there were a few closed call. :eek3: We left Tifton early but didnt start fishing until 8.30 am due to the cranking battery gone bad. Fishing was thougt for the most part due to the wind and current going the opposite direction but we did put about a dozen fish in the cooler by around low tide at 2.30 pm. I think everyone caught a few keepers. I took the cake for the worst sun burn though. :bang:

Jenn with another nice 24'' fish. Apparently, the big fish she caught on the last trip was not a fluke (see past report).

This is Kedong's first outing for trout and didnt do so bad. It did took us a while to properly coach him not to set the hook like a bass fishermen.

We quit fishing at low tide and joint the flotilla of boats to find a few scallops. Sherrie with a nice one.

GS, can you say shark bait.

We only ended up with about 3 gallon or so, not bad for our first attempt. The reward from our efforts at the end of the day.

I think everyone enjoyed the trip. Those scallops were delicious. I need to go back and get more.

I was using the crane at the Marina but judging from the number of boats, I dont think its bad at all. I think most people were going scalloping and didnt go out until later in the day. The dock at the marina was packed when we idle through the channel.

The problem is that he was 0 for 5, including a break off on 20lb braided line, before everyone reminded him (repeatedly) when the cork went down to just reel and not yank like bass fishing. He finally did as told and brought in his first keeper fish.

On the big trout, I believe Jenn caught it on a 3'' pigfish. We were using mostly live bait. Was planning to try top water but have too many people in the boat to sling treeble hooks.
