Carolina Skiff Floor Separation Question
The floor in the front 1/3 of the boat seems to have separated from the rafters. Check the hull and it is still solid, but when under way in a chop you can see the floor pushing up and "bubbling" when hitting waves.
Could this be solved by using a product like GitRot or West Systems? Or does the whole front floor section need to be cut out and replaced?
Any helpful advice would be much appreciated!!

My you live as long as you want,

Having not been in your boat and seen what you have and not to say there isn't a problem there (is that sufficient disclaimer
) but it is also possible that what your seeing is just the flexing of the bottom. I've seen it on other skiff's generally the J and standard types with no front deck will show it the most because there's no bulkhead to stiffen the floor.

"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
I agree with everyone else that you will have some flex- but not bubbling...
Call the CS Factory and ask for JR- the tech guy.
Or call Advantage Marine- they are a dealer and should be able to get some info for you.

THANKS FOR ALL THE INFO!!!!
Let give yall a little more detail on the boat. It is a 19ft model with the front deck installed. The floor where the flexing is occurring feels "funny", well not solid, like the rest of the boat. I wonder if the bond between the fiber stringers and the floor has broken...or become loose due to wear....the boat is a 95 model, so there are some years on her........
I know what yall are talking about with the normal flex, but lets say i am underway and there is tackle bag on the floor where this problem is occurring.....if there is a good enough chop, the bag can (and has) become air born from the bubbling. It is actual pretty interesting to watch it bounces around like the bag is on a trampoline......Anywho I think my best option might be to take it to a skiff dealer....or call the tech guy like suggested.
