telephone pole bottom

Read this in another fourm, anyone here know what this guy is talking about.

someone was telling me that they were fishing approximately 42 miles from st. marks light house in about 70 feet of water....they came across this telephone pole like bottom. the area covered about 100 feet... ane the telephone pole bottom came up about 20 feet... any ideas as to what this may be... some people think it may be a "cheese grass

A shot in the dark. Was the spot near S-tower? There is a huge piece of oil rig sunk there called the Exxon Template that comes way off the bottom.
