motor problem need help bad

ok ive got a problem with my boat motor it wont start any suggestions
it is a v6 150 johnson :smt013

I can tell you the first thing everybody is going to say is be more specific. Does it even try to fire?

Do you have bad fuel?
Are your spark plugs OK?
Check your fuel filter for water.
Check all your in-line fuses on the motor.
Check for defective plug wires.
When you finish and eliminate these 5,I will give you 5 more.

no it dosent put in new plugs the ,it tries to turn but it ,it dose a quik sputter and kills

Sounds like...bad starter...bad starter solenoid...bad battery.

I was out from the Light House one time and mine wouldn't start...I tried and tired.....I was thinking....hmmmm...I knew I should have joined TowBoat.....then I realized that I had accidentally pulled the kill switch...just something else to add to the check list. Good Luck!

Reggie, There's a LOT more we can tell him wrong before he goes to the shop!

Been there on the kill switch. Tried to start the tracker for 30 mintues one time. :oops: derrrr...... That only happens once though. Check the kill switch everytime now.

thank u guys so much for all the help it turns out it was a bad starter i bought a new one and now the moter runs perfectly,and i live in wakulla
abought a mile noth of wakulla station. :thumbup: :thumbup: :-D
